Spinning Rod & Reel

Hey guys I need a new Rod and reel to throw some LC's at the aqueduct. I am looking for a spinning setup because I cant figure out those dam bait casters. What do you guys reccomend? keep in mind I'm a begginer so I will need some more details than a abc200l and all that pro talk Should the rod be medium action? Medium heavy? I am really clueless when it comes to this stuff, I currently have a no name combo that I got for $30 at big5 but the reel is crap and the rod comes apart when casting so I want a 1 piece rod.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm not a big Daiwa fan but the exceller 2500 and any 7ft, 7'6" MH fast action rod rated for 10-20 lb line and up to 3/4 oz lures will be fine. Really depends on how much you want to spend. The Exceller is $60 but a pretty good reel.

Hmmm. I say the Daiwa Exceller 2500 and try to find the the Exceller rod. That would be a good combo at your price range. So tough matching rod/reel combos because as you spen $50 to $100 more the quality gear you get is so much more. You can never go wrong with an ugly stick either especially just fishing the ducts.

So should I save up another $100 so I have around $250? Then what would you recommend?

To stay in your budget, I would get the BPS XTRM76MHS on sale for $69.99. I have used the casting rods and there pretty nice for the price.

its not so much about catching the fish. its about the fishing. you'll eventually get the technique, im starting to learn tricks here and there, the trick is to get out as much as you can.

I think Dodo owns 1 of every rod and reel there is and Spooky has used at least 1 of every rod and reel there is.

When the time comes for me to get some new decent equipment, I will definately talk to you guys first!
