Went out one more time for the 2006 year,
Went out LB Marina 1pm 1/2 day, only ten or so people on board, squid and shrimp were the baits of choice.
The day started with a nice drive out with the sun out and clear skys.
I used 20lb penn line with flourocarbon left on as leader that I never took off this rod (didnt probably matter for rockfish)
We started fishing around 2pm as we left the dock late, John was the Captain with Chris (i think its his son on deck crew) and one other guy forgot name. A few sheephead came a board on the shrimp right away then some whitefish and plenty of perch.
I caught alot of perch at the first stop on squid, I tried a little shrimp but no luck (i also used berkly gulp shrimp a couple of times not long enough to give a opnion on the bait)
2nd stop I got one whitefish more perch,
3rd stop I got more perch, a calico, treefish, probably a mackeral (but looked like a baby yellow, I swear) and 2 sheaphead all on squid
sorry only had a camera phone
Heading back in a little early cause a lady was sick, but a good day for a 1/2 day
