Tough Fishing on the Enterprise

Well first off WTF is with this weather?!? It is practically July and the water is 56.5!!! That is winter water if not mistaken. Needless to say the fish were not to terribly active.

We didnt have to many people on the boat, all pretty cool people. We ended up with maybe 30 or 40 sand bass. I saw no fish caught on any artificials, these fish were VERY picky, only wanted the pinhead 'chovies.

The current was ripping hard. My buddy had 8 ounces and couldnt hold the bottom. The tomcod were kinda thick. The bass were all small, some 12 or 13" bass took JP. Almost all fish were caught on the bottom, i got a few on the fly-line just because i am not a big of fan of the dropper loop, the dropper loop isnt bad its just that i like fishing these fish other ways.

We had good sized dines, which were great bait but of course the fish wouldnt touch them, we had good hook size anchovies and TONS of tiny 1" anchovies, which worked well if you strung at least on a hook.

Better then being at home thats for sure, hopefully the weather will get its act together, i thought it was summer

The past week the weather has been really weird. Sorry you had a mediocre day fishing, Andrew. 8 oz's would'nt even hold the bottom? that's crazy. Oh well, BLNT.
