Color is all that truly matters.

But on the WFO days of fishing color heads aren't necessary.

Also, Hammer Heads (Big Hammer) are the lead heads that I always use.

What sized swimbaits are you using James ?

The 5-6" ones you had on the Catalina trip or small one's ?

lol just wondering why do we need the squids to be cleaned on the boat rather than keepiong them whole?

It's because the city doesn't want squid ink all over the place around the landing, it stains the walk ways. They are a big mess, don't wear your designer jeans when squidding. Get them cleaned on the boat so you don't have the hassle of cleaning them yourself. It is well worth paying the money in getting them cleaned.

Well, you'll have to argue with the crew over it. I don't make the rules.

On some boats you can stow the squid in an ice chest and get away with it. Call the landing where you are going out of and ask if you can do so.... I know for a fact that the Enterprise allows it.

Bring hefty trash bags too in order to put your cut squid into.
