Too many places to mention, and too many good boats to recommend. Probably better to wait until the season gets nearer to begin pin pointing specifics. I will say this: If the season is as half as good as last Summer and early Fall (as they're predicting it will be), then most overnight to any day and a half trip out of any San Diego area landings should produce Albacore in the 20 to 50 pound class easy!

Are you a private boater???? If so, destination was southeast of the Dumper, 31 30 & 118 10, (GPS) where you could begin your search for the first Chickens of this year! That was where my friends Cory and Ron limited out on albies 04/16. Fish is kind of small, about 10-20lbs. I will definitly go when more school of 25lbers are coming this way! And maybe some BFT mix in the school too when bigger grade is coming.

They are normally under the Kelp Patties...90 miles down south west to SD. Good luck!

Austin, Where the hell were you fishing last summer....Oregon?? Hell, even Oregon offshore sh#! was slammin' last summer. All last summer was fricken WFO!!! The industry called it the best year since the El Nino of '97. Maybe you had some bad luck, I don't know?

All I've been hearing about is action around the 295. I'm totally amped for this summer!
