I mentioned this a while ago and said i would post the pic so here it is. sorry its so ghetto it was taken with a film camera and i scanned it.

they they fight really hard and are very aggresive fish.

Hey C Fish are they good eating? My trip to East cape is set up, I can't wait. (Sept. 2- 6) I hope it's as fun and WO as you say it is. O'yeah awsome rooster.

they are not necesarilly good eating, i release all of the ones i catch. but if you want to eat one i reccomend the smaller ones, i think they are better eating. i have had roosterfish machaca, and that was pretty good, but i have had sting ray machaca too and that was good to. i will just say that there are much better fish to keep for eating then the roosterfish.

Well, I do hope you kept that particular fish because if you put your hands in my lungs and held me in the air I dont think I could recover from that lol

i thought the same thing............but i didnt grab the gills just gill covers you can see the gills, this fish swam away fine.

That Rooster is sweet Andrew!! Ah yes, I have fond memories of landing those stubborn S.O.B.'s! Love the fight, incredible fighters. Picture actually came out pretty good!

I know you like your avet, but I dont see you doing a 180 mile cast from point loma... But you can always try  I know there has been a roosterfish or two caught in diego during el nino. Also they catch bone fish, Ive caught one in newport years ago. Hey tony you were supposed to get back to me about guys who do custom fiberglass work
