Hook Up Prize Of The Month - March

Ok, the rules for march are going to change a little. Since we are giving away such a great item, we're limiting the entry to registered ACTIVE members of the forum. Active doesn't mean you have to reply to every thread, but that you are a regular participant and you provide useful and relevent information for the other users. There is NO minimum post requirement and as long as the above guidelines are met, you are in!

With that said, let me introduce the prize for march....

It is a Pac Bay traditional series TRF904, a 9 foot two piece trout rod 2-6lb. it is a great rod for fishing the mini-jig or lip ripperz for trout. It has a cork handle with a Fuji reel seat. The colors are still to be decided. This is a great rod! Pictures and final color decisions will follow.

This rod has been donated by Lurch's Custom Fishing Rods:

Lurch's Custom Fishing Rods

I have wrapped rods for 14 years out of my home. I wrap every thing from fly rods to salt water trolling rods. All of my rods are custom made to the buyer’s specs with quality blanks and components. I try to have a quick turnaround time of two to three weeks.

For more information on Lurch's Custom Fishing Rods including product and pricing information, please contact CaptLurch (you can email or PM him through this board).

So how do you win? Is it a raffle or something?

Yes, it's a raffle. The rules are posted in the announcement section in every forum.

LOL! Funny you should mention casting distance. I took that 13ft surf perch pole I have to SARL over the weekend and I was casting out into the middle of the lake!!! This pole is going to be awesome. I'm excited to see what color and design he ends up wrapping it with.

I have the same rod wrapped for myself and I can cast a 1/32 jig about 25 feet with 2lb test.

The long rod also makes a big difference when your in a float tube or kayak.
