No, they don't usually freeze over. Just gets too icy for DFG to stock trout so they don't stock them in the winter.

THAT SUCKS! I feel so sorry for you having to live in that frozen hell hole. By the way that picture of Mathews pisses me off, what a waste of a good lake...

MAtthews is a waste. Can you imagine fishing the "river" on it. You know there is big cats sitting up in there. Someone recently told me that they believe there is holdover natural trout and possibly a world record bass in there.

That river is split-off backwater from the aquaduct. THINK ABOUT THE 3+ pound bluegill!
