TEAM : WISH US LUCK ( d.v.l. tackle )
FELLAS, just got off the phone with WAHOO.
looks like were heading out to d.v.l. this sat for some stripers and bass.
C.S.T. is coming along also to get on some action.
here is whats going on so far.
THE STRIPERS are active in early a.m. chasing shads.
whats been hitting lately are some kastmasters, white pearl color single tails, metal spoons, scroungers, darters, flukes and a few others.
best to let your lure sink to the bottom and wind slow.
for swimbaiting, z plugs, b.b.z. and punkers are the top choices for swimbaiters. best to use heavy long rods with heavy line.
here are some pic of what i use.
there are other metal lures that are effective, ask spooky about them, as i dont know the names of them.
best to use 6 or 8 lb test, medium/light rods, for small lures.

If I recall correctly, he told me they were 1/2 oz. Then again, he was so excited about this trip that I couldn't digest all the details.
It's always good to have at least a 1/2oz. and a 1oz. The bigger, the better!

lol.
just got back from the tackle shop and picked up some of spookys special.
its called the ORIGINAL FISH HEAD SPIN.
local rookie , they are 1/2 ounce, i would suggest getting 3/4 oz also.
also got some of this stuff.
it kills human scent on lures, lines, gives better casting distance, and protects the reel .

I love light tackle fishing, especially catching a 20 pound fish on 4 pound test
