99 Cent store useful things for fishing..lets keep this one rolling

Dont know how far this post will go but since gas prices are so high and the economy is BullShi$%. I was thinking maybe we can keep this post going for Ideas from the 99 Cent store that can cut down on cost for fishing..It can include stuff to help modify your kayak and floattubes or boats...little things or big things.

bought a basket so I could use it for stipping...wait that sounds bad. For flyfishing stripping that is. I needed one and dont want to pay too much for it.
99 Cents

This is a magnetic tool holder has a strap with it(can fit around the bladder of a float tube). Would be good for tools that ya need to get the hookout or even to put nail clippers on. 99Cents

Polarized glass 99 cents... I use to have a pair of these when they were the price thats on the tag they work good.

Im sure we can come up with some good ideas on here half of us are broke.

I once saw where someone got one of those mesh clothes baskits from $99 Cent store, attached some foot long sections of pool noodle and made a floating live bait cage.

This isn't a .99 cents store but I find alot of useful cheap when on sale items at Harbor Freight. If you get on the mailing list they send you coupons for 15-20% any one item even if it's already on sale. And also they don't hassel you about returns if you have a reciept. Just picked up 3 of those 4" magnetic bowls for holding jig heads and hooks on the kayak for .99 each.

They both have good bargains at times, I buy all my fishing line from the .99 cent store, They have a limited chose, but if you need some 200 pound line for surf fishing, go get some.

Bait tank for float tube. for $3.22.

First step, go to 99 Cents Only Store.
Buy a collapsible laundry basket, a pool doodle, and zip ties.
cut the pool noodle into four pieces and zip tie it to each side of the laundry basket. then zip tie, or strap the basket onto the d clips of your float tube.

Anchovies, sardine and smelt live in there for long periods of time.
