tattoos - California Fishing

Im getting my side done at the end of summer. There are two things I have in mind but am still looking around for other ideas. One is a drawing my buddy made with a dying tree and an empty swing attached to one of the branches. The other is another tree that is full of life at one end and is slowly fading till it is barren at the other end. Both are symbols of fading youth.

Honestly, anyone who wants a tattoo should really put a lot of thought into it and know what they want before they do it.

I like the thought process put into your future tatt's. You should scan or take a pic of the artwork. Sounds pretty awesome.

The tatt sounds sweet, but aren't you a bit on the young side to be thinking of your fading youth? It's too early for a mid-life crisis!!!

Live life to the fullest while you're young & leave the old age thinking for when you're OLD & barren. Meanwhile, go surf, fish, meet some chicks & have a good time!

(I hope Dementedfish doesn't get jealous cuz I asked you to meet some chicks. I dunno if you guys have an open relationship. If I get you in trouble, sorry.)

Well not only is it fading youth. It sort of represents you leaving your childhood behind and becoming more than what you were. Also, I was involved a really bad accident back in October. The doctors told me they havent seen a severe head trauma come out llike i did in a long time. Like, I should be dead and since the accident I look at things a lot differently and its taught me a lot.

LOL i do do all those things you are talking about. Fishing and girls are my specialty haha.

Sounds pretty cool Matt. Do you have a drawing of it yet? One process I have used with some of mine is to draw it, then put it up somwhere that you will see it everyday for a month or so. You will then find out if you really like the idea or will get tired of it. Also allows you to think of any changes you might have during that time.

ya that would be a good idea. i will see if my buddy still has the drawing of it. from what i understand the sides hurt the most dont they?

Anywhere that the skin is thinner and close to bone it hurts more. But thats why I get them. I like the pain, and if it didnt hurt everyone would get them.

see, i dont mind the pain. ive had to deal with a lot of it to get things done so i dont even think about it any more.

I have been concentrating more on what design type thing i want to go with and look at the work certain people have done and base it off that. but no i do not have anyone specific in mind yet. i plan on getting it done in black and white and want it to take up most of the right side of me. any idea on price?
