hp printer replacement

Just a heads up for those of you who have hp printers crap out on you. Hope it helps someone else too.

My 7210 all in one had a problem with the springs breaking the plastic tab (cartridge chute) where you load the cartridges. Thus rendering it inoperable. ( It was used for very light duty, mostly scanning and fax) It was happening to a lot of people and at first they said it was user error. (I called last year and they said there was no replacement and that the problem was isolated) I was about to throw it away when i found that is indeed a manufacturing defect and that they are now replacing most of them for free. According to other people with this problem, it was at first very hard to get a replacement and took some of them 2 hours talking to an indian operator and calls to the direct case manager. But now it is very easy since they no longer in denial that it isn't a defect.

pm if you need help.

here is the actual chat
