ummmmmm.... I'd like to let you know that we definitely support him in the opening of these refuges to fishing. I don't know about you, but I like catching fish! I'd say this is a step in the right direction. Fishing is very heavily regulated. Especially here in CA. Although none of these openings have any effect on land here in so cal, I'm happy to see that the government is taking away some restrictions. The only problem I have with this decision is that no extra money was added to the budget to manage these new areas.
As far as your interesting political commentary is concerned, I think you need to realize that just because there is fighting in iraq, doesn't mean life stops here.

I also hope you realize at the young age of twelve that just because your parents are democrats doesn't mean you have to make the same wrong decisions as them Before you make decisions about politics do research for yourself. You should also know that 95% of sportsman are going to be republican not Democrats, because if democrats had their way there would be no fishing or hunting. So to come on a fishing website and blast the president for trying to open fishing reserves lol Your not going to get that warm of a reception.

Nicely said James.
No offense, 1toughfish, but next time you post something like this, make sure you have good facts to support your decision. Also, CST is right, the bush family has always been sportsmen.

Howard stern is pissed because his show violated CURRENT laws passed PRIOR to bush SENIOR going into office and he is getting fined for it. He is getting BIG ratings for his trashing bush. Do I think the FCC is being hard on him and janet, YES, is that bush? Hell no. Come on that is the liberal media making the huge jump to link the two. ALSO notice how the DNC got great glorious coverage on local news, while the "riots" were showed at the RNC? Also Let's look at the liberal "rioters" that were out there protesting WAR, they were such great protestors that they beat a police officer within an inch of his life, AGAIN they were protesting the violence and killing of WAR, yet they did it themselves? Come on guys...

What rules were violated? part of the problem is that there are no clear written rules and they are just randomly issuing violations. If the media is so liberal why are the anti Bush, anti Republican protests in New York getting almost no coverage? I have heard that there are over a hundred thousand protesters there right now and thats it the biggest protest ever but its not being reported. Also if you hire or appoint someone to office and he is violating the rules of the company its your job to fire his ###, Michael Powell was appointed by Bush and you have to agree that the current witch hunt is very one sided. They are going back three years looking at tapes of the Sternshow for "violations" but other radio shows and television shows get nothing. Janet Jacksons breast was not the first time a bare breast was shown on TV, why was the head of CBS/Viacomm called in to the Senant for it and treated like a naughty child and repremanded fro it. Its the Christian Right who would not try pulling this crap if one of their own was not in power. If Bush stepped in and told the FCC to back off I would respected him a lot more, I dont think Kerry will be any better but a message needs to be sent that we will not tolerate our rights to free speach being messed with.
BTW...I posted the "Bababoey" thing as a joke, I am not even a regesterd voter. None of it even matters, I dont believe any of our votes count for crap anyway.

I do agree it is a bit of a witch hunt. I am a big howard stern fan, and a bush supporter, strange I know, but true. What they are doing to him is wrong, and heck Janet jackson was wearing a pasty. Did you see the Grammy's when Lil kim came to the show with nothing but a pasty on, but nothing happened to her... So I understand the situation, but I also do not think it is wrong to ask for a little decency on the radio.
I am however a prevaiour of the ideals that you are responsible for you and yours. If you are worried about kids listening to Howard stern control what your kids listen too. See a big difference I see between Republicans and Democrats is republicans take responsible for themselves and their familys, while democrats its all about the government providing and telling me what to do. I can think for myself, I do not need the government doing that for me and I certainly don't need midnight basketball. My two cents

Yeah, when people used to get pissed off at radio or TV they contacted the sponsors and complained and boycotted them if needed. "Let free market reign" and if you dont like what you are hearing shut the damn thing off. I know Bush is not "hunting" Stern but sometimes you have to hold the boss accountable for his employees actions. Also for the record given the chance I would kick Michael Moore in the nuts...twice! I usually find myself liking the GOP point of view more than the Liberal but the sensorship issue really has me pissed off and a strong message needs to be sent before some relegious wacko takes away my right to talk dirty.
