Stevenscreek 5/13 and Uvas 5/14 Fishing report
I made it out to two places this past weekend to fish. Saturday was out to Stevenscreek. We got out there around 11am and fished until sundown around 7pmish and I didn't catch anything (pattern here...). I was again just using worms and hook, just baby large mouth.
I did see a huge carp swimming in front of me maybe 4 feet out from where I was standing and 2 fish someone said was a 'sucker fish' that came around a couple of times. My boyfriend was also out in his tube and didnt catch anything but a blue gill. The water was VERY clear, and the sky VERY nice though, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
On Sunday, we took the tubes out to Uvas in Gilroy, it was freaken hot! 93 degrees. I was using worms again, and the boyfriend was using his little lures. He said he caught about a 1lb bass and I just got little blue gills for fun. But overall I didn't see many people catch anything bigger than 1lb from the water even though we saw the big bass in the water (3+lbs) I guess none were interested in eating.
