Central Coast Bay Report 9/15/05
THE BAYS
SAN FRANCISCO: Smith had the California Dawn near Alcatraz on Friday and came back with 10 halibut up to 23 pounds. On Saturday in the same area, they caught five halibut up to 37 pounds. The big fish was netted by Bob Houston of Vallejo. Smith said the smaller tides in the afternoon has helped the fishing. SUISUN: Jordona Santiago of Martinez Bait and Tackle reported fair fishing this week. Not too many reports came in, but the fish are out there. Striper should start being caught as soon as the fall run begins. Erik Crouch of Martinez caught a limit of striper from the Martinez pier. Both fish were 211/2 inches caught with grass shrimp.
