Angry New/Old boat dilemma :(

Well, a friend of mine just called me to tell me he's thinking of buying the 25 ft skipjack that we caught that T-shark on...and I told him that I can only fish midweek until July (I used to have Fridays off all the time and we used to go one one and two day trips frequently) so now he's thinking of not buying it...arrrrgggghhh!

The problem is not paying for the purchase price, the problem is that if you throw in all the expenses, it's a constant drain of about $400.00 a month (insurance, storage, parts that break or need servicing) and you spend your free time working on the boat...good thing is that the I/O engine is new.

Also, another problem is that we'll have to fish during the time that everyone and their brother is on the water
I almost forgot what it's like to tell someone that their anchor line is straight up and down, and they just smile and wave at me as they drift by

And that boat will probably never see freshwater

Oh well, maybe I'm crying crocodile tears, but helping to maintain a constantly used boat is like maintaining a girlfriend...when my friend had his boat, we both knew the location of every Westmarine, and BoatUS shop from Newport Beach to Torrance (had to go there for a part that only they had).

Oh well, I'll shutup now and go back to contemplating no social life on Saturdays
