bait one the beach

Has anyone used a cast net one the beach for bait? want to go to monterey and do some surf fishing and get my bait there. Larry

i think they are legal north of Point Conception.

yes that is true. they said that at the promar booth at the fred hall show. there may be a size restriction though.

ive done it in mexico, and its not as easy as it looks. but after a while you will get the hang of it as long as you have the right technique

You are not the only one, lol. I tried getting some cigar minnow off the beach to fish for Roosterfish and those damn things made me feel like an idiot. lol...
