I actually have a condo in Mammoth, so I would just drive up for the day from there. It's only like 40 minutes or so from Mammoth Lakes.

Yea thats right. I would definately recomend making a run up there for the day. If you havent fished there before I will give you a few tips if you want. Just let me know and I will PM you. If you fly fish I know the best flies to use at that lake.

Cool, give me the tips. I do fly fish but not Flyrod; I spincast flies...and rather well I might add PM me the flies names and the tips ....thanks

Do you use a casting bubble? how do you rig it up?
I have been using a "Cast a bubble" so I dont need to use a swivel or "Carolina Keeper" and I like them a lot.

Russ, Yeah I do a "Fly and a Bobber" normally. I have two other techniques I use for "spin casting flies"depending on if I'm fishing dry or wet applications, and whether I'm fishing streams/rivers, or lakes, and also I take into consideration the depth that I would be fishing if I'm fishing wet flies.

my method of choice for lake fishing is fly and bubble!!!!!!!!!!!! never tried it on a stream or creek.. Tony have you had any luck using your new flys?
