Russian River

okay guys sorry for not posting. i was really busy. ok im Ukiah right now and i hit a couple of beaches too. ill post that in the saltfishing thing. okay i got to russian river at about 4 o clock after picking up some stuff. my dad was using my new 9" flyfishing rod and some kind of flies(picked at random :P i dont know any fly times..) and a rooster tail spinner thing... i was using a rooster tail too and power bait, salmon egg, lip ripperz, and some kind of maggot and larvaes. my dad picked them up under the rocks and we got some big and small crayfish too. first i used the fly and got nothing for a while and i switched off between alot of flies; then i used powerbait and the eggs. i also tried lip rippers ( whole, jigged, and a leadhead) i got nothing. then my dad caught a 9" golden trout on the maggot thing. soon he picks up a 11" smb. i tried out the salmon eggs and got nothing.

at 5:30 my dad used a small crayfish and got a tiny 6" smb. then i lose my roostertail on a fat trout (not sure what kind) i saw it jump about 14" and it jumps past the fallen tree and rips my line. oh well it was fun. at about 6:20 it was getting dark and guess what? FLY TIME. there were trout and all these other fish jumping everywhere and flies jumping and falling in the water. so we pulled out random flies and he got nothing but i got about 7 bites, 2 jumps, 3 dives (above and down the water without going completely out.you could see the fins.) and i pulled in only 4. 3 strange fish not sure what it is.... and 1 golden trout. the trout was 9" and the other three fish were really fat and 11",12",12". and i got pictures. ill try to post them if i can in a while.
