Thumbs up Bishop Baby!

I have put in a request for some days off at work, I reserved a pickup truck at "Enterprise Rent a car" to transport my float tubes and I will be calling to make my motel reservations later today or Monday.
I will be leaving town around midnight on Thursday night 06-23 and I should be fishing by the time the sun comes up on Friday. I will be staying in Bishop Friday and Saturday night and coming home late on Sunday. If anybody else is going to be up there that weekend let me know.

I will probibly hit Convict Lake & creek on the Friday we arrive and fish Sabrina, Intake 2 and Bishop creek on Saturday. We might hit some parts of the Ownes on Sunday on the way home but we also want to hit Big Pine creek and stop at the sandtraps too.

Let us know how you did.
I'm curious about Sabrina (yes, I know the "i" is long). I tried to fish it once, but it was just too darn cold...my friends and I drove up there in late October, and we weren't the only ones to get back in our cars. Are the fish there larger than the general area or smaller? Deeper? Surface action?

Not larger but because Sabrina is large and is creek fed you can catch "wild" fish, fish that have never seen a hatchery. Plus its one of the most scenic lakes in the Eastern Sierra.

They are still ice fishing at Lake Mary and the Twin Lakes last I heard, I think I am going to save the Mammoth area for August when I plan on going up there with my family.

I do not have a digital camera as yet but I will see if my buddy has one, and no I have not recieved the package yet. Are you still planning a group trip to the Sierras sometime this summer?

I'm trying to do the Sierra trip before my wife has the baby in July. Yeh, please get pix if you can...even 35mm film would be cool.
BTW, the package went UPS ground...should have only taken 4 days max...it's been a week.

I'll track it today and PM you later about it. I sent the other package to "Filz", I wonder if he got his? I'll have to check both. Hang tight.

I needed a multiday fishing trip ASAP or I was going to snap and since I am going back up in August I decided that I should take some time off in June so that I can spread my vacation days out a little.
By the way if the weather, water and financial conditions looks good I might try a trip in September too.

A trip anywhere, anytime is always a major blessing!

If I believed in blessings then I would have to believe in curses too...
