Question Wheres the TUNA???

ive been fishing many years, mostly fresh water.
i love playing hooky from work and heading out to Catilina, out of 22nd Street.
they have recently got'n a new captain, now i need a new boat.

ive caught many many fish, many places, but.... i cant seam to get me a tuna.

i cant afford the 300-500 fishing trips, but id love to hook-up a tuna!
anyone got some insight on where the best place is, cheap?

Unfortunately paying that much money really is the only way to get into a lot of Tuna locally, unless you go on a friend's boat or if the tuna are biting near the ON trip range.

If you keep an eye on the fish reports out of San Diego here's a few. http://www.islandiasportfishing.com/Counts.htm , http://www.sportfishingreport.com/point_loma/counts.php ,
http://www.hmlanding.com/fcount/fcount.htm
And pick your spot when the 3/4 and full day boats are getting into Tuna.
But there is really nothing in the world that compares to a multi day tuna trip.
You might think about doing a christmas club account at your bank, just $10.00 a week you would have $520.00 this time next year which is about what you need for a 2 day. $15.00 a week for a 3 day. Hope 2 see u on the deep water someday.
