Here a couple of pics of some of the billfish. Sorry for the quality but Rick one of the other guys fishing with us who took most of the billfish pics must have a crappy camera, but you get the idea.
The only thing I did not get to do fishing wise that I wanted to do was catch some yellowtail. There was some BIG mossbacks just 6 miles from the port at a place called Six Mile. They were in the 35-45 lb range and one boat landed 12 of them. The day we were going to target them was the day the wind came up. I would of made the run but my pops is 74 and 3 days of fishing in a week with 2 of them being back to back is asking a lot and adding a 4th in marginal weather didn't seem worth it. Actually I had to talk my dad out of it. I find it too hard to run the boat, catch and gaff fish by myself. Anyway that leaves something for me to do if I do decide to head back in October.
