Emergency run to San Carlos

Dodo,Cashe and Walt
I had to go to San Carlos

I'm leaving tomorrow morning
a bro-in law passed away and have to take the wife
to Sonora, but like around monday or tuesday
I'm going to stop in my way back
to see Fernando at Catch 22 sportfishing
and if the wind slows down we may fish a little bit
I'll take a lot of pics of the place

-in case you wanna go on monday-tuesday
the fly in Aerocalifornia
out of Tijuana to Hermosillo
is very-very cheap like 150 bucks round trip
and Fernando said will pick you guys up
at the airport

the hotel is www.marinaterra.com
Fernando and his partner Steve
are at www.catch22mexicosportfishing.com

see you next week

Eddie,
Sorry for the loss in your family. But as they say there can be a silver lining behind every cloud. Did I hear your say "Catch 22" Yahoooo. Got to say I am more than a little jealous. Here you are getting a fix and I have to wait until next week. LOL!! Have a safe trip. And if you fish......Slay'um.

With all due respect....that travel alert is full of S***

There is problems in a few border cities, but nothing like the picture they are painting in their description. We have hundreds of people driving to San Carlos from the US every single weekend. And yes...a few run into some problems, like you would in any other place. If you go by the law, then nothing is wrong...if you ome to mexico thinking it's a no law country and act like that, then you will definitley run into some problems.

Yes, a few ugly and nasty stories have happened on the baja side, it sucks and I'm ashamed of my freaking mexican authorities, but not every place is the same. The drive to San Carlos is as safe as any other in Arizona. I would recomend driving at daylight, not because you are going to be mugged, but because the road has no shoulder and it is just safer to drive during the day. It's a 4 lane highway all the way to San Carlos.

I hope you guys don't take this the wrong way...but that alert is really way too exagerated.

Fernando

That's true no bandidos here

they are talking about the border

duh!
it reads
"Violent criminal activity fueled by a war between criminal organizations struggling for control of the lucrative narcotics trade continues along the U.S.-Mexico border."

Lots of yellowtail south of the border
no bandidos, except Gerardo
