That is one fat trout!!!! Congrats Jon on the big catch. On a side note, this thread will grow ultra large if all catches of the week go into one thread. Maybe a thread per week would be nice and it could be dated so you could search for previous weeks and/or threads.

You can use the SEARCH icon up top in the icon bar to search for various things. It would be great to use that feature for searching past Catch of the Week's. The separate thread idea is not a bad one. Thanks for the input and we'll give it some consideration. More than likely that shouldn't be too hard to impliment. Thanks for the suggestion "P"!

Yeah, it took a while. The water was warm so the fish was more sluggish than I would have expected, but it took some really hard runs on the 2# line!

We actually should have made a video...from the look of surprise on Jon's face as he watched the fish hit his fly, to the three stooges float tubes all attached together at one point as the fish swims around and we all pivoted to avoid touching the line, to me freaking out 'cause you could see the teeth on the trout looking like it was rubbing Jon's line whenever it turned to run again, to Jon hugging the fish because it wouldn't fit in my net (he netted it himself)

Of course Tony calls right in the middle of trying to net the fish and is wondering why we don't answer...and then not believing me when I'm screaming into the radio that the fish won't fit into the net
