LET'S GO FISHING! - California Fishing

I had no days off last week

and I dont expect to get any days off next week but

THIS week I am off THREE DAYS BABY!

Once I get off work this morning (Thursday) I dont have to go back until Sunday night so WHO WANTS TO GO FISHING?

Today I am hitting up Laguna Niguel on my float tube but I am open to suggestions for the rest of the weekend.

The DFG has the San Gabriel and the upper Santa Ana scheduled to receive stocks this week, the San Gabe was slow two weeks ago but that was kind of a fluke thing as it is usually pretty good.

The Santa Ana river can be good but it is a much smaller river and can be subject to heavy angler pressure, however the Santa Ana is only about 30min from Yucaipa Park Lake so there is a backup plan for there. We may be able to hike into Jenk's but I would have to call the ranger station to make sure and it has not been stocked since October I think.

I am not opposed to making the drive out to Silverwood, DVL or even the Southern Inyo waters or the Kern if anyone wants to go hardcore!

Woahhh! Someone's in desperate need to get rid of that Angler's Fever. So many spots so little time. And that's why I can only drool thinking of the places you might hit up and I cannot. Thanks to friggin' WORK!

the inlet side is holding cats and bass at this time.
mostly all fishing at night with crawlers.

no word on stripers yet.

i,ll be up there tonight, look for a rescue rooter truck, and follow the trail down towards the inlet.

NOT THE DAM.

Yeah I noticed after Rus's first post this thread became off course and pointless, that's why I PM'd you. If I come up with anything I'll give ya a call also. Weather supposed to be windy Saturday and possibly a bit of rain on Sunday.
