Okay who all is thinking of going, where are we meeting and at what time?

I'm going. It looks like gate opens at 6AM and the derby starts at 7AM and ends at 1PM. If you want to secure some nice spots, I would consider waiting in line at 4AM. Don't forget to ask where they stock the lake. A couple of years ago they only stock the big lake and not the little lake, and sometimes they stock the same amount for the little and big lake. Lastly, its $10.00 for derby entry + $5.00 for parking.

wow guy knows everything, thanks for the good info answered alot of questions I was going to ask!

Looks like I can make this and I am crazy enough to be there by 4 AM. As far as meet up I don't know the area so where evers is fine with me.

I looked online but does anyone have a web link for the lake or derby? Thank you sirs.

Looks like I should be able to get off of work by 5:30 that morning so I should be there by 6:30 or 7:00.

You can get info at www.county-parks.com. BTW, if you pre-register at Turners you'll get a free bait package at the Derby.

This post got me thinking, we need to find a way so that we can all recognize each other at the tourney, maybe we could all put up pirate flags or something.
Also we may want to choose a radio channel in advance so we can comunicate once we are there.

good idea what were we useing at the river? I think it was 6 01. Unless we need to change it for people who don't have sub channels. And I already got a pirate flag if we go that route too.

Well I'll try and get there as soon as I can, maybe even 4ish like Local Rookie suggested. Never been there so who knows if I'll get a good spot or not... I just hope there is enough lake area to walk around and fish not just soak bait in one spot all day.
