I only got one hit on it, but I really liked the way the material moved. I'll have to tie it thicker though on my next iteration. I used orange thread on the body and head, and it kinda showed through the wet material. I might try that for perch sized flys, with a little grey.
maribou was another choice, but I didn't want the quill in there, I just wanted it to move back and forth in a fluid motion with my stripping.
The water conditions were funky...I posted them elsewhere, tagged onto someone else's post about BC.
Russ: If you PM me your address I'll drop a couple in the mail if I'm happy with the tiny ones. If you're not going to use a fly rod, you might have to wet the small ones before you throw them. I'll make them unweighted unless you think I should throw in some weight. You can always use a short section of fly line, inbetween your leader and your main line, to get the fly down if it doesn't sink fast enough, or you can't throw it out 'cause it's too light.
