Seattle aug 13-20

Since my aunt lives on Lake Washington in Mayden Bauer Bay by Bill Gates I thought it would be cool to visit her. I also booked our usual guide when I go up there. First day we fished lake sammamish for cuts and kings but its was to early in the season for kings unfortunately. We did nail some nice cutts though. The next day we fished for sockeye and it was slow for most but we managed 2 nice ones, 7 and 10 pounds, so I was happy. Ended up catching more Fat cuts then we could handle, alot of fun. We also caught alot of smallies to about 3 pounds, but the guide Mike Bing (one of the most respected guides in washington) calls em junk fish LOL. Anyways just an awesome trip!

Great report Alllen! No Pix??

Junk fish?? LOL. Anyone who's fished smallies knows they're one of the best fighters out there. I've fished Washington quite a bit and those guys up there hate bass and Bass fishing...seems a bit like an elitist mentality, but nevertheless, the fishing up in WA is great!

My wife and I been thinking about moving up there - maybe to Kirkland, WA. Sounds like there is some good fishing up there. Thanks for the report.

Yea Smallies are definetly fighters. When I was in Oregon two weeks ago 6" bass were fighting like 1 pound trout.
