Mead, 1-8-10

Went to lake mead, spent nearly the entire day verrrrry pretty, action pretty slow all over saw one guy with 3 stripers 2-3 lb range using live bait but other than that nada. caught some dink trout ~9" in boulder cove fished all up and down the shore line and had an overall great day on the lake and a good vacation to boot ;-D will be going again in the warmer months... i have a few cell pics of scenery... trout weren't worth picturing.... too small caught on mini jigs i still had left over that huck gave me @ silverwood (thanks huck you saved me from a skunk!)... did a decent amount of hiking so i didn't have my camera i'll post lake pics in the morning

Nice lake huh? Love those vistas and the weather must have been great. No signs of big stripers coming out?

Hope Eric took good care of you (I'm sure he did!).

buncha carp at the las vegas arena... schoolie 2-3 lb stripers mooching off tourists popcorn.... saw one striper had to be in the 5lb range didnt get a pic.... water so clear off the docks you coul see catfish swimming about 30ft below the surface

i think that's called a woodland duck? idk looks like a mallard but grey with a red head instead of brown with a green

water levels look about 30ft low

gotta get the others from the lady

some of the flies eric tied me.... also tied me a little over a dozen woolly buggers black, gold olive and silver, some shad patterned flies and forgot the type of fly the other was.

bunch of midges nymphs, with reflective patterns and some woolly's and shad patterned ties
