Those trout look crazy. Almost like a leopard print on that third one down.

You know folks, i'm not sure what kind they are. I just assumed maybe a brook/brown trout hybrid. i'll ask around. There are tons of them in the Lamoille canyon rivers though.

Sweet pics. I'm gonna go on a long shot and say the trout are probably Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. Native to Elko and on the EXTREMELY ENDANGERED species list. Just kidding, I've don't think they're endangered at all. There just aren't so many due to the introduction of Rainbows, etc in their native lakes/streams. Either way, they're sweet looking!
I may be wrong, but here's a pic of one. Thanks for the report.

According to my 2009 Nevada Fishing Seasons and Regulations, the Eastern region Fishable Waters list says that the fish caught in the Lamoille Canyon streams are rainbow, brook trout, and Tiger Trout. limit 10.
Apparently they are hybrids of brook and brown.
FYI, pretty good fighters with sharp teeth. Caught on yellow/red Panther Martin spinner.

 I know stuff!
BTW- I think that Topaz Lake and maybe Walker lake has them as well, that should be doable for Badfish2 on his next Sierra run.
