i just hate when i take the dog(s) to petsmart or petsco, and you feel that negativity from people. like if the dog was really aggressive or ready to take there heads off or something, when they havent even made one aggressive or mean move towards any one

Badfish2 you need to do something otherwise it is only a matter of time before they get into your yard and kill your dogs or something worse. My neighbor had a pit mix and it was kept in a kennel 24-7 never socialized. My wife heard screaming coming from next door and we jumped the fence. My neighbors girlfriend had brought her neice over to visit, she was about 13 and around 80 pounds, the dog had her by the neck and would not let go. It is a long story how we we lucky enough to do all the right things but I was able to get the dor to release her. I really think it was devine intervention, God did not want her to die. The little girl spent 5 days in the hospital and received hundreds of stitches. I don't blame what happened on the dog or the fact that he was part pit, it was 100% the fault of his owner. If you took any large breed of male dog lock him up in a 8' x 8' chain link box 24-7 it is just a matter time before this kind of thing happens. The county came to the house the next day and the dog was so mean they put him down right there. I think they were scared to open the kennel door. By the way my neighbors house is for sale, I hope it is due to the little girls parents sued his ### off.

John, and therin lies the problem..The new media would/did jump all over that situation and cite the Pibull as the cause, due the aggresive nature of the dog, when every responsible pit owner knows that's not the case. In fact, pits are Very people friendly, especially towrds kids, that's why the nicknamed pits, the Nanny Dog a long time ago.

To solve the dog problem, we need to solve the Stoopid Owner problem.

Glad you were able to help that little girl.
