Andrea catches her first Corbina!

Well, Andrea and I went fishing at Manhattan Pier last night. We were just using sand crabs and after about and hour, she hooks up. With 6 lb test, it seemed like she had a monster, but after a minute or so, she landed a 2lb Corbina. We released it along with the ones I caught. She was so proud and so was I. She has grown to love fishing almost as much as me.... Seed planted!

Nice seed plant! My boy's seed took a bit to flourish though. I think I started him off wrong...lakes. As soon as we hit piers, it was on.

Good job on her Corb and an even better job on shaping a lifetime fishing buddy.

WTG!

Nicely done on gettin the lady some fish. It's cool to have a "prodigy" catch fish. Then you know you done somethin right.

On a side not, Mickey starting anyone out on our local lakes is horrible. The only thing local lakes are good for teaching aspects of fishing, is for the waiting part. Ocean all the way!

Andrea does read this with me, but she is cool. She knows how we guys talk and she is cool with that. We went fishing last night but only caught one thing.... It was black and white and was covered in fur. Oh and it had this wierd odor. SKUNK!!!!!!!!!! It was still fun though. We went down and didn't even know there was gonna be a grunion run. Watching her try to cath these little fish was funny, but watching her get mad at all the high school kids getting in the way was even funnier! I have never heard her curse so much. Made me think I might be marrying a sailor. " you f--king s--theads!, get the f--k out of here!, what the f--k are you doing, you're scaring them all away! just go home!" I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
