Crawdad Pattern, Color?
alright, im heading to Minnisota in 10 days for a 11 day trip.
ive been spending alot of time with my vise over the weekend and was toying with this new crawdad pattern, i like it alot, just not sure which color i like th best. what do you think, and why?
Genitic Brown
Solid Orange
Grizly Orange

I picked all three, Mark. The reason being that you don't know what the water conditions will be at each place you will be fishing. You can't go wrong if you have some choices when you get there. Best of luck in Minnesota!

i knew you'd be all over these!! lol, i have 6 brown, and 3 or each orange color ready now, they are tied on a poper style hook, i need to find more!! lol

LOL You know me too well. Those are some of the best looking craw flies I have seen Mark. Bring some of them here and I'll take you down on the river for some giant smallmouth. They would kill those things!

Missouri....sounds great!!! them SMB probly will break my 5wt, lol.
but certainly if i make it there you will be the first one i call!!

Sweet looking flies. Good work. I think the brown looks best, but you should use whatever works.

I've seen alot of crawdads (but not in that state) that have a darker color...also, I've seen dark blue  Good luck.

crawdads come in Red, White and Blue (green too but saying red white blue and green didnt sound as cool)

yes i tied them myself... im working on some purple ones now. and solid brown.
