Lake Mary, Mammoth 8/6

spent the weekend camping at lake mary. did some shore fishing and rented a boat in the afternoon, my girlfriend and i caught 4 rainbows on nightcrawlers, and 3 more on a kmaster. my girlfriend caught a small silver fish with a kmaster just like the one demented caught, i was also wondering what it was. i also caught a couple of trout(one w/crawler and one w/kmaster) but i'm not sure whether they were brookies or brownies(not sure of the difference, only that browns are harder to catch) any help would be appreciated. all fish were c&r.

That's a brown trout. You can tell by the coloration. The Brookies will usually have bright orange along the side. That's a nice brown for the area and it sounds like you guys had a good trip.

Welcome to the boards as well.
