fly swap sequil?
ok ok, i know the first swap was not the greatest.
Chris you still did a great job, first times always dificult.
i spoke with jon slightly, and im willing to make this "swap" more like swaps should be with; set fly types, set dates, and PURE fun.
but most of all i would love to make it once every 4-5 months, maybe more if enought interested.
this will incurage us ALL to tie more and get newcommers willing to step up.
So, can you all show me and more ideas and if interested....

I said once a year, with the thought that you could make an annual deal out of it. Like have a BBQ at the lake, have a fly tying demo there, and fish the flies when you get them. It could be a big HUSF get together.

Hmmm...I voted for the bi-monthly (once every two months), but I'd quickly run out of patterns...I only really tie three freshwater patterns, and one saltwater pattern...hey, that's what works for me...the hard part is figuring out which size and color variation is working I know of one guy who only fished one pattern and it was dry fly pattern and he actually did pretty good...I think it was a Caddis pattern...but then again, in a moving-water environment, the fish have to eat whatever comes by, or starve...

I don't know enough patterns to do it every other month. Quarterly, I could probably manage, but I prefer the twice yearly. Alternating between SW and FW sounds good to me. I don't really have any SW patterns, but it would give me a chance to learn.

I'll probably not participate... unless I get my flies from the first one.

$8.10 out for priority shipping (to meet the deadline, and for return shipping)
Tiemco hooks, plus materials and time.
Lost return address, couple of PM's inqiring to where, couple of responses, and still no flies?
Next one? I DON"T THINK SO!!!

If I start tying again, not sure I have the patience anymore, but if I do It would be great to be involved.

Wish I could, but it's in Montana, not sure if mom is willing to send it. I'll just get some new gear, it was my gf's gear so my bobbin is from like 1930. I definetly need a new vice. I'll let you know when I'm quipped out.
