Hope to be able to go tonight to fish the sunset, first time this year. Will be on the east shore working my way toward the cove by the swimbeach. Will be wearing an old dark blue Shimano hat. Would like to meet you guys out there

Welcome to the board Indo-angler. I made this post a new thread so people could find it more easily. I'm looking forward to your report!

Good luck, its slowed wayyyy down the last couple days. We fished it last night for nothing as well as this morning. I won't go back till after the possible rain.

Worked the east shore for nothing for about an hour and a half. Fished crankbaits and dropshotted for a little while. There were only a couple of people out. Better next time.

Thanks for the reports guys. Let us know when the bite picks up. I'm going to have to take a trip down there sometime and check that lake out.

Sorry i didnt get back to ya Indo, Went out on Thursday from 5:30
to close. finally got one on a yamamoto 5" curly tail(smoke/purpleflake) on the last cast. Not the bigest fish, but close to 2lbs and the only one to have the rod bent for the night.
will just have to wait for this weather to clear up. When ya get a chance let me know and maybe yourself and anyone else who wishes to work the shoreline can hit it one evening and put a face with the post.

My only open evening is tonight Monday. Although the rain may put a damper on it, I'm planning to try a new baitcaster out. So I'll probably hit up the eastshore. I'll be in a dark grey Tundra wearing old dark blue Shimano hat. I'm trying to go from about 5-6:30 pm.

Thanks Indo, I'm glad you like the site! When you guys decide when you're fishing, make sure to post it on the calendar too! That way people can look at the calendar and see who's going where and when they're going. It's easier than going through a bunch of threads sometimes. Thanks.

This should help. I pulled it out of the Help/FAQ forum. There are links to the calendar on the main website, on top of the forum pages, or you could go here www.hookupsportfishing.com/calendar

The calendar is where anglers can post their upcoming trips, see when and where other anglers will be fishing, find info about future Hook Up Sportfishing tournaments, and see when other members birthdays are. The calendar is a great resource for anglers to plan get togethers and meet fishing buddies.

Hint: It's always a good idea to post in the forum about the fishing trip AND make an entry on the calendar.

To use the calendar feature you must first become a registered user and then login. Once you are logged in you will see the "calendar" button on the upper right hand side of the screen. Push this button and it will take you to the calendar page. You will then have 2 choices:

1. Post a public event
2. Post a private event

A public event is an event that everybody can see. If you want to plan a fishing trip and invite other members, this is the place to do it.

A private event is an event that only you (and the administrators) can see.

Click on the type of event you want to create, fill out your information, and click "submit event". You have just created an event on the calendar!!!

To navigate the calendar, use the drop down boxes at the bottom of the page or use the links to the right of the drop down boxes.
