In one opinion whenever you can, fishing is always fun. In another incoming high tide during the morning with some cloud cover, and don't be set on staying in one place, be willing to move up and down the pier. Also, some anglers cast way out there into the deep blue, but forget fish love structure so there's lots straight down and not too far away.

As long as you can on a certain day if possible. I've caught fish when it was supposedly the wrong time of day to catch them but I'm stubborn like that lol. High tide is a really good time, and don't feel you have to cast out 100 feet from the pier. When I pier fish I cast 10 feet or straight drop most of the time. Good luck on the fishing and let us know what you catch

Bud, I'd say just go out there and give it a shot. I've been to piers where no one gets bite and some one will whip out 3 fish in 20 mins. Pier are spontaneous like that. Grab your cousin, hook him by the lip and toss him in. Mornings and evenings.
