Catfish BBQ & Derby???
I think the next time Irvine Lake has an all night Catfish derby we should have a group BBQ...what do you think? I know Anahiem allows all night fishing on the weekends but I just cant stand that lake...(sorry guys.)

That sounds like fun. I think Irvine is the better choice. I've been to Anaheim once and I didn't really like it.

Irvine is having fishing util 4am this Saturday. Bad timing for me as I have a pool party to attend. It may be too late for yall to make plans, I do not know. But I am sure they wil have something again in August or even September like they usually do.

Hey Bluehunter, Jon and I have a boat we would love to try out in Irvine lake, 20footer, cuddy cabin, lots of space. We bring the boat, some drinks, some mackeral, you bring the expertise and we will go win us a tournament We can go Rreck, bluehunter, myself, and wahoo. Should be fun.

Sounds great, are you talking about any weekend kind of trip or for the derby. On the derby Wlunkers will be fishing with me. Most of the time I have little man(son) with me as well. We have the boat literally covered with all kinds of mess. lol.

Well, all of us can go out one of these weekends. Especially if you have derby plans. We will be catching a ton of macks in the next few days for bait. So plenty of chum...

Take the 91 freeway to the 55 South and exit on Chapman, take Chapman Towards the hills until it becomes Santiago Canyon Road. Irvine Lake is on the left side up in the hills. You can also take the 5 freeway South and exit on Jamboree, take Jamboree North to Santiago Canyon Road and make a Right. You do not need a California license to fish "The Vine", its a private lake and they charge 16 dollors per person to fish it.

Guys go on and put it together. irvine will be the better choice of course. As soon as Catmando picks either the end of Aug or mid September, yall can do yours. September really is a good month there. I would say end of September. Big ones are always caught around that time. Fishing until 2 am anyway, most of us are too tired by then.
