Hey, I just grabbed the lure I didn't use last time and threw it tward shore...stopped it before it hit a rock and was angry because I apparently hooked a "rock" less than five minutes into the trip...until it's head started shaking

I will have to learn how to "not" pump a LMB though

What's with you guys and not smiling for pics? Grumpy old farts. Last pic of Jon I saw he had a couple fish and I could barely make out a smile. If I was catchin fish the size you guys are, I'd be grinnin ear to ear. Cmon guys give us a

Nice fishy. I dont see anything wrong with not smiling in pics. You never see a Ninja or Pirate smiling in pics.

A true Pirate, or Ninja, would not let someone take their picture. Unless that wasn't really them.

And yes, it was too cold to do anything except fish my little tail off, LOL, pun intended.

Actually I use conventional gear when appropriate. The fly gear would've worked but I needed casting practice and I unlimbered a reel that I got in December but haven't used it since I got it. I figured I needed to dial it in, but I just set the brakes on maximum and left them there...I still got a rats nest or two but I was casting...Oh, I'm not impressed with the Cuda line that I was using, too many "coils" in the fresh line...I opened the spool and wound it on my reel on my way to the lake...if that isn't "fresh" I don't know what is...

I seem to recall a very tipsy Pirate at Puddingstone who was smiling quite a bit. Maybe my memory fails to serve correctly
