Bishop 7/19-7/24

Stayed with my grandparents for a week who live in Bishop.

7/19-North Lake-Started off using power bait and caught about 20 each, no big ones then I decided to trying using a red and white lip ripperZ and on the third cast I caught one 2.9lbs then caught a small one then when we were about to go I hook up to something big and my drag is screaming after about a 10 min fight I land the fish and it weighs 5.6lbs my biggest trout ever. I took pictures but i dont know how to upload then on my comp but when I do I'll post it.

7/20-Convict Lake-Fished bait for another 20 fish each and tryed the lip ripperZ and only caught one small one.

7/21-Mary Lake & Twin Lakes (lower)-Fished Mary first but was slow only catching about 10 between us and decided to try Twin and it was also slow only catching about 5 between us.

7/22-South Lake & Intake 2-Very slow only caught about 5 between us and Intake was even worse only catching 1.

7/23-North Lake-decided to fish North since there was a chance that they might plant Alpers but no luck instead they had a regular plant and we caught at least 100 between us.

7/24-Silver Lake & Grant Lake-Fished Silver early but was real slow so we decided to go further up and fish Elorey* past Lee Vining but when we were passing by Grant we saw a lot of fish on the top and thought we would try it. Steady catching with good size fish including one that weighed 1.4lbs but then around 11:00 the fish quit biting so we went back to Silver and didn't catch anything.

Will be going back this Wednesday and staying til' Saturday I'll be sure to post.

WOW! what part of Intake 2 did you fish using what for bait? thst a very slow day for that pond.
