ok here's another one. I hope this one is a little harder but we'll see.

The one on top is the original and the bottom few were tied by me. I havent perfected them yet and i think they have gotten progressively worse but anyway, "Name that fly!"

I agree, it's some shrimp variety, but I couldn't tell what exactly.

If you tied them with a thicker gauge hook, they look like they'd do well in the surf

thicker then that? it's a salmon hook (size 6 TMC 7999)

that aint a response! also i'm having a hell of a time getting that fly right, you want me to send you some of the rejects so you can use them surf fishing?

I think that the flies look great. But, of course my opinion doesn't matter, it's the fish that you are trying to get.

Sure, bring 'em on

I was talking with Frank from His and Hers today and he caught about a 3 ft WSB in the surf a week or so ago. Luckily, I have a few of the flies he used...but he used a much larger version...he was actually shooting for something else
