Mt. Lakes 02/13-16 ***WITH PICS!***

Mt. Lakes stocked 500 pounds of Whitewater trout in each lake on friday, so fishing friday, saturday, sunday, and today. Fishing was great everyday, with the exception of a non-existant bite everyday from 11am to about 3pm. Caught tons and tons of fish everyday, all ranging from 1 to 2 pounds. Had a 5 pounder spit the hook on saturday. They had a derby going on and a 7 pound 3 ounce won it. Had a great time. The highlight was on the Lip RipperZ. There are always a lot of people jigging, but no one had ever seen them before. So I gave everyone a Lip Ripper to try out and on the first cast, BANG 6 pounder! Next cast, BANG 5 pounder! Needless to say, I sold a lot of Lip RipperZ over the weekend because they work so well. They are now the hot bait at Mt. Lakes!

Mt. Lakes....they are up in Devor right? Do you have to pay to get in?

I have never been there but it looks like a nice place to fish.

Thanks for the report.

Mt. Lakes is located in Lytle Creek, which is up in the moutain from Devore. You do not have to pay to get in, as it is a member-only campground. Memberships go for about $6,000 right now. Also, there is a $9 fishing fee. They just raised it from $5, but oh well...It's worth the fun.
