ZEEBAAS

Dont know how long it has been out just saw it in my new Melton tackle catalog
got this off www.zeebaas.com

100 % Made in Connecticut USA.

Incredible strength to weight ratio, (can handle 80lb braided line).

Special military coating (Z-Coat) on all exterior surfaces, developed specially for ZeeBaaS.

This coating is extremely hard and lasts up to 5 times the salt spray test from regular coatings used for high end reels.

Air jet cushion spool lip design, aids in casting distance.

Large line capacity spools.

Multi coated titanium line rollers designed for braids.

Oversize one way clutch on the rotor and main gear (2 clutches).

Every component machined from solid bar stock.

Completely water proof dual plate drag system.
12 stainless steel ball bearings plus 2 clutches.

All ball bearings, clutches seals and O-ring are standard items.

Surf friendly by washout holes in rotor and spool.

Solid titanium spool ring mirror polished.
One piece machined main gear, integral with the shaft.

High efficiency spiral bevel power gears, similar gear design powers the tail rotor on a black hawk helicopter.

Positive detent clickers on low pressure drag adjustment.

Hypoid gears are shunned in aerospace because of their inefficiency, but used by most fishing reel manufactures because they require less space.
Hardened Stainless Pinion mounted directly through the main bearing onto the hardened stainless rotor spindle.

316 stainless rotor spindle hardened to 70 Rc.

Oversize titanium main shaft Ti Coated to 90 Rc and mirror polished, connected to the main drag plate using the Dutchman pin principle.

Unique open frame selectable bail system, precision balanced.

Low pressure turning drag knob is integrated with the spool.

Hook keeper mounted to the foot, also (selector switch for bail).

Comfortable rubber anti-slip grip area on the crank handle.

Sealed crank handle.

The line rollers incorporate specially designed rubber seals developed exclusively by ZeeBaaS.

Each reel and case has it own matching serial number, deeply engraved by machine. The storage case is made from mahogany and it includeds all the all tools required for service.

Optional hand engraving is available and will be quoted on request.

Lifetime warranty on all components and exterior finish, except drag washers, seals and bearings.
starts at 1,299.99 and an extra spool will set you back 269.99
