Trabuco Creek

I have heard that up Trabuco Creek there is a "pond" that is full of wild "Bows" and left over stockers...has anybody explored this creek?

Orange County, exit the 5 South on Alicia Parkway and make a left, its in the hills behind Tabuco Highlands and its REALLY small and only stocked in a couple of man made holes during the Spring run off, I have heard of a small "pond" somewhere back is a ways but dont know if its really there or not. I have also heard of a "pond" on the upper Santa Ana river below Angelus Oaks that you need a serious 4X4 to get to but its suposed to be full of wild Browns and Bows.

The area you are looking for is holy Jim trail area . Take El toro just past O'Neil park. Take the first left after the bridge. You need to go about 4 miles on the dirt road, it crosses back a nd fourth across the stream, you don't need a 4X4 but don't take the honda. There is a stream with small bows.

Yea I have fished those holes for the stockers but I was looking for a reported "pond" back up there somewhere. That creek is not my style, Id rather go hit the San Gabriel or the upper Santa Ana river to stream fish.
