Chubasco II out of Islandia SFC recent catch report

As almost everyone knows right now, the Chubasco II out of Islandia Sport Fishing Center (San Dog, Ca) is the vessel being used for the upcoming:

1st Annual HookUpSportFishing.com "Taco Trip 2004".........

Private members charter in August(sign ups will start next week).

June has been a great month for the Chubasco II; 3/4 and Full days limiting out on Sand bass, barracuda, and getting thier fill on Yellowtail, even Albacore all out of Mexico. Sorta unfortunately, Chubasco II had a slow weekend and first half of this week (although almost every 3/4 and fullday boats out of San Diego did). The weather this past week around San Diego and northern Baja Cali Mexico has been really crappy and cold, which incidentally make the water cold!! The weather man says the weather is about to be getting hot, hot , hot!!!...which will definitely be good for us in August(picture me dancing around like Snoopy).

Because this is the vessel in which our charter will take place, I will be giving reports(rough estimates) on its catch weekly until our trip(just on the fish that we really give a SH#%! about):

6/25 -6/30 (3/4 and full days)

Sand Bass - (killin' em at about) 325

Pacific Barracuda - (excelent catches, excellent fights) - around 85-90

Yellowtail - (not so good this past week unless it was an overnighter or
more) -only about 5 or 6......spoke to the captain, he said
they were averaging 16 to 20lbs...that's good news!

Chubasco II, during the first three weeks in June, was killing the Yellowtail and Albacore tuna also. When the weather warms up the fishing on that boat is extremely productive. All boats should be doing much better next week.
