Checking in from Utah...

Fished the South Fork of the Ogden river for one measley Brown trout and then my brother and I hit Causey Res. where I caught four fish. Two small Kokenee salmon, a small Splake trout and a 20in Cut/bow hybrid. I forgot my camera so no picts and no fishing today due to rain but maybe I will get back out on Sunday.
I will post a full report and hopfully some pictures when I get back into town...

A few things....first, go buy a disposable camera before you fishing again. Second, congrats on the Splake!!!!!!! That's one of the top fish on my list to catch that I haven't caught yet!!!

Third....I'm jealous. Have fun! Oh, answer Chris's question....candy bait or not?

The key phrase is "I forgot my camera" when it used to be "I dont have a camera" Nice job on the feesh. Say hi to the Osmonds for me.

I'M BAACK!!!...
OF COURSE I arranged to have the candy bait sent ahead so it was waiting for me when I got there and the camera that I kept forgetting WAS a disposible camera.
Not much more to report however as I only got out for a couple of hours of fishing at the same waters on Sunday. Fished Causey again for only one 15 inch wild Rainbow and hit the South fork of the Ogden again for a 13 inch Brown, both on my improved jig/candy bait combo. It rained extremly heavy on Friday night and Saturday morning so I was not very surprised that the fishing was affected.
We got a late start on Sunday and had to go back early for my nephews B-Day party so for the entire trip I think I only got in maybe six or seven hours of fishing, my brother came down with the flu Friday night and was out of commission for the rest of the weekend and my brother in law had a severe head cold but was able to give me a couple of hours on Sunday.
As I was packing up my stuff Monday morning I called my brother in law and asked him if he wanted to keep the left over candy bait and he said "no thanks, season is over for the most part" but I guess he took a short drive to the Weber river Monday morning and had 22 Brown Trout in an hour period all on candy bait so he regretted that decision. (BTW the guy lives 10 minutes from the Weber river but drove an hour past it to take me to Causey on Sunday! )
Anyway this was my first trip to this area and I left a buch of tackle and rods and even a couple of float tubes at my brothers house so I will be going back in the Spring and hopefully be able to hit some of the areas I missed this trip.
I did take a few pics with the disposible camera and when I get them developed I may post a longer trip report if they come out OK.

Congrats on taking pics

Yes, on a trip last year, the water levels were high and dirty because of the rain...we went below a dam that was on a larger lake (Hebgen) and the tailwaters were clean for about a mile and a half...then the brown water started and the division was sharp, like a knife.

Nice Brown on the first day
