Cookin Tuna

My dad is gonna be cookin up the tuna I caught on the trip on Sunday. We have an oven, bbq, and wood chip smoker. Anyone have any good recipes they would like to suggest? We have several fillets, so we can try several different ways. Let the mouth watering recipes flow forth

There are quite a few in the recipes section of the forum. Did you look through there? I can't give you any recipes, as I don't eat fish. But some of the ones in there sound pretty good.

There are more than just that one. I think Jon(Wahoo!) and Chris(CST) put up some, too. I didn't look too far back in the threads.

Tom,

Ahi Tuna <or what we call>(Yellowfin Tuna), should not be cooked all the way through IMO. The best way to prepare it is use some terryaki sauce and a teaspoon and a half of Kosher salt (best salt in the world) dissolved into the sauce, and marinate the steaks for about 20-30 minutes. Then over a conventional gas range; in a skillet, put a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and just 'sear' the tuna steaks on both sides until each side is cooked ONLY about 1/4 of the way through on both sides. The center will be raw. It's incredible, trust me.

It's called raw fish. If God had wanted you to eat raw fish, he wouldn't have made FIRE.
