Surf combo for my WA Homeslicer.

I'm looking into a good entry-level saltwater surf combo for my younger bro in Washington. Any suggestions? Also what's a good mail order to purchase it from?

Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops both have a good selection, and are very reputable. Does your brother use spinning or baitcasting reels? And what will he be targeting?

He's fresh like me. I'm going to teach him how to use a spinner for shore fishing. The shores along the puget sound and northern islands are much calmer than the socal coast. I'll get him into baitcasting once he's got the spinner down.

Nope, I'll be visiting him occasionally and he lives in a fishing haven so I'd like to get him into it. He's a Navy PO whose getting married in the next few months and his soon-to-be-in laws fish in Lake Washington so I'd like to start him up.. Another buddy of mine lives up there too so I'll have more than enough company.

And you thought I'd let you off easy.

Don't overlook Ebay and Ebay Express. I've purchased lots of fishing gear from both sites and wasn't ripped off--plus the prices were great! I usually buy from online stores that sell fishing tackle. Many of these stores are on Ebay Express where there's no auctions--the price & the shipping fees are fixed. Good luck!
