The "hookupsportfishing.com" Boat. Interested?

Well, Jon and I have been thinking. A lot of us fish the saltwater for local fish and are a bit tired of fishing with 75 guys on weekends and having to leave early and when the boats want to fish and where. So we are passing around the idea of purchasing our own "HookupSportfishing.com" sportfisher. However, we would really like to make this a "board" boat. So wanted to post this out there and see who would be interested. Would you be interested in paying say the amount of a single 1 day ticket to get 2 or 3 free trips on the boat? By Free I mean all expenses including fuel and bait paid by Jon and I? The reason is we are looking to get a better class of boat maybe something a little bigger to accomodate more fish. After the initial "free" times, we will be doing at least one trip a week on a first come first serve basis, we will all just split the cost of fuel and bait. We think it's a great way to get into some awesome fishing. Imagine going out next week and getting into wide open sand bass, getting tired of that and going to look for sharks, sky's the limit.

Let us know what you think guys.

James

Jon and I had it for awhile, but you brought it back to the surface. I recently found some great boats in the lower end price range. I know a lot about boats, worked on them my whole life, so it is going ot be a natural progression.

Thats a great idea, I would pay extra to be able to go on a boat with a limited load.

Well, Jon and I are working out the details. We are looking at putting out a scale. IE $100 means this many trips, $500 means this many, etc... The reason we are doing this is because when we buy the boat we are going to rig it out and get all general maintenance done to it. IE Furuno Fish finder, Bait Tank, Outdrive reconditioning (new zincs) etc... Once it is done, Jon and I will take care of everything. We would like to get it going before the yellows really start hitting at catalina.

James, the idea sounds great, and I know there's more detail to the whole idea and all, plus I'm definitely in for sure!!!! If you are talking about an offshore boat, then how big??? What type of max load would you be considering???

Good idea. We'll look into that as well. We're very excited about the possibility of getting this going. This should be really cool for everyone when we get it up and running.

We're still discussing the details, but we're thinking along the lines of a 6 pack. At the moment, we're thinking a length somewhere in the mid - upper 20s.

First of all, I think my heading said James, not JON!! (HaHaHa, Just playin' wit' ya!) But seriously, JONATHAN!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!! A "F#@!*ing" SIX PACK!!! Oh I'm so down for this! I have alot of experience fishing both casually and tournaments on six packs and am pretty familiar with most if not all the aspects that go into running and maintaining one, probably not as much as James, but I've been there.....so, I say that to say whatever you guys need in terms of time and efforts donated to help you guys do whatever you need to do to get this going, you let me know and I'll donate my time any way you need me to. Plus, other Ideas are one's like being able to advertise private six pack charters, and if you guys ever wanted to go there and do that kinda stuff with the boat, you know "the California Custom Angling Co." has got your back interms of bringing business to your boat. Whatever you guys need dude...just ask.

We're in the process of looking for a boat as we speak. We will be checking one out on monday actually. If you guys have seen any good used boats that are inexpensive, let us know.
