Hook Up members, it's time to get together and hook up again!!! ......HookUpSportfishing.com is hosting a 3/4 day private charter for HookUpSportfishing.com members and guests aboard the Coroloma out of Ventura Sportfishing Center, located in the Ventura Harbor
(Ventura, CA).
Below you will find all details and stipulations regarding this trip. HookUpSportfishing.com looks forward to having you aboard!

DIRECTIONS - coming North bound on the 101 Fwy; travel into Ventura County and continue on until you come to Ventura, CA (Ventura is located just north of Oxnard. You'll know you're in Oxnard once you pass two tall Sky Scaper buildings on the south/west side of the 101 Fwy). Continue on the 101 Fwy and exit "Victoria Ave." Make a left turn onto Victoria Ave. and continue up until you get to "Olivas Park Drive". Make a right onto Olivas Park Drive and continue west about 2.5 - 3 miles until you come to the Ventura Harbor (corner of Olivas Drive and Harbor Blvd.). Continue straight (west) into the Ventura Harbor (now the street is called Spinnaker Dr.) for approximately 1/2 mile to the parking lot entrance at 1575 Spinnaker Dr. (on the right hand side of the street). The Coroloma / Ventura Sportfishing Center is located right in front of Horn Blowers restaurant.

Pricing and Costs:

Max load for this trip - 27 anglers (25 anglers / 2 charter masters)

3/4 day Private Charter (weekend) - $2500.00
Original cost per angler - $100.00
Special pricing for Hook Up members/guests per angler - $65.00 !!!!!! private charter

ADDITIONAL COSTS (not manditory) -
*Jackpot Contest - $5.00 buy in. Jackpot winner takes total pot PLUS a tackle prize courtesy of HookUpSportfishng.com
*Full Galley - breakfast, hot sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages, Candy (not included in price of charter)
*Fish Cleaning and Filleting - this service is available on board your trip for an additional small fee per fish (pricing to be announced on board)
*Gratuities/Tips - (IMPORTANT) because you are getting a really, really low price on this private charter, it is not only customary, but it would be very gracious and courteous to TIP properly. If the receive good service from the crew; you should expect and follow through in tipping the boat/crew between 15%-20% of the original $100.00 price per angler.
Again, if you feel the crew did their job for you; PLEASE, each angler should really consider tiping between $15.00 - $20.00. Again, it is not mandatory but it is a customary and courteous thing to do. The Coroloma captain and crew have a reputation for working very had to make each trip the best it can possibly be.

Target Species and Geography

While on this trip we will be fishing the famous Channel Islands National Parks system. We'll most likely be focusing on fishing the following locations: Anacapa Island; Santa Cruz Island; The Gap, etc.

Target Species will be as follows -

California Halibut - The Coroloma has recently been on target with finding the offshore and inshore Halibut bite. Recently landing fish between the 12lb. to 30lb. range

Kelp Bass(Calico's) - The Calico bite has been sparatic but when it's on, it's been ON!! The Coroloma has recently targeted specimens averaging 2-4lbs.

Sandbass - Within the past month and a half, boats out of the Ventura County landings have been fortunate enough to experience a really pronounced Sandbass bite. It's a great possibility that this charter will lead us into some of that action.

White Seabass - They're still out there! The Channel Islands National Park is known as the White Seabass capital of the world. Traditionally the WSB's are found much easier on Overnight trips to Santa Rosa Island and San Miguel Island, but Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands aren't void of WSB at all! There's a good possibility that some or all of our anlgers will get a chance at one or more.

Rockfish(various) - If the Fishing slows down on one species or another, you can always count on one thing, and that is literally the absolute finest species of rockfsh caught in Southern California happens in and around the Channel Islands National Park system. Everything from Bocaccio Rockfish, Copper Rockfish, China Rockfish, Blue Rockfish and 'monster' Vermillion Rockfish!!

Other target species - Pacific Whitefish, Pacific Barracuda, Lingcod, Cabezon, California Sheepshead, etc.

Special Stipulations and Rules
(please read carefully)

Biggest Fish Jackpot

* Angler with the largest catch in "weight" wins the total pot as well a small tackle prize provided by HookUpSportfishing.com

* Rays and Skates WILL count for the Jackpot(see stipulations below). Sharks do NOT, half eaten fish do NOT, Mammals do NOT(lol.); endangered species do NOT; all other species WILL count for this charters Jackpot contest.

* Rays and Skates stiputation -If an angler chooses to keep a Ray, or a Skate of any type for Jackpot competition; that angler must pay to have the fish in question cleaned and filleted by the Coroloma crew, for consumption(pricing at the boats discretion); or forfeit their involvment in the Jackpot, in which their $5.00 Jackpot entrance fee will NOT be refunded.

* $5.00 Jackpot fee with be collected at the time of check in after departure and paid out by one of ur charter masters at the time of return.

* We must respect everyone elses time for this trip. The boat will leave at 6:00 am, the morning of the charter. There will be a fifteen minute grace period for any late arrivals(6:15 am). Beyond that time; the boat will depart as scheduled.


Boat Rules

The following Items are not allowed on board the Coroloma at anytime during our trip -
* Fire arms of any kind or caliber
* Explosives of any caliber no matter how big or small they maybe. This includes 'black cat' size fire crackers
* Ice chests or coolers of any type
* Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine or liquers)
* Illegal drugs, controlled substances or paraphanelia

How do I pay for my trip?

(Option #1) Money Order / Cashiers Check
You may purchase a Money Order or a Cashiers Check in the amount of $65.00. Money Orders can be purchased at check cashing facilities, any U.S. Post Office, and some liquor stores. Cashiers Checks can be purchased at any financial banking institution. Both can be purchased for just a few cents. We apologize that we are not accepting personal checks or cash via mail for this particular event.

I didn't get to go ocean fishing this year at all so I'm in need of a trip. Plus, it will give me a good opportunity to meet some of the members. Can you put me down for one, and a guest (my brother might be back in town for that weekend, otherwise the wife may join me). Lee Coombes and guest...looking forward to it.
I will need help with gear and tackle...as in, what to bring, is what I have good enough, etc.
